FIREPIT + FIREPLACE Firewood is onsite and provided for you. Please follow Yavapai County's daily fire restriction rules (fire pit) should they apply during your stay. OUR HISTORY Eighty years ago a placer mining operation worked the creek alongside this beautiful cabin. This modest mine was small in size and surrounded by 1.25 millions beautiful acres of Prescott National Forest and its majestic ponderosa pines. Shortly after the miners left, our cabin “The Gold Digger” was built. This home is now one of only a few, deep in the forest, close the Lynx Lake, and surrounded by 1.25 million acres of protected Prescott National Forest. A dream for visitors who love privacy and remoteness without giving up the comforts and convenience of a short drive to Arizonian’s favorite small town, Prescott.

Gold Digger is a beautiful, peaceful retreat that feels alive the moment you arrive. Each morning we woke to wild turkeys in the yard and smaller birds gathered around the feeders, creating a calm, storybook atmosphere. The cabin has a warm, rustic charm that made us feel at home right away. We loved the games and evenings around the firepit, it made for great family time. One of our favorite features was the zip-line dog leash in the front yard. It let our pup safely explore without needing constant supervision, which was incredibly convenient. The nearby creek was another highlight. Our son had a great time playing in the water and skipping stones, making memories we won’t forget. This place is peaceful, inviting, and full of special moments. We can’t wait to come back!

This was a wonderful getaway for our family! The cabin is nested in the Prescott national forest surrounded by beautiful Ponderosa pine trees and lots of wildlife! We enjoyed every minute of it! The cabin itself is super cozy and clean and it has all the supplies you need for a wonderful stay! Fire wood is provided which is a plus! The cabin is also pretty close to Lynx lake and surrounding trails so no need to even drive to the trailheads! We had a blast and we’re looking forward to come back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Truly Amazing Stay! This cabin was everything we hoped for and more! Tucked away in a peaceful, private, and absolutely beautiful setting, it was the perfect escape. The home itself was spotless, cozy, and incredibly comfortable — it felt like home the moment we arrived. We spent our days walking along the creek, trying our hand at gold panning, exploring miles of scenic trails, and even chatting with a lovely neighbor nearby. The area felt very safe and serene, and the bird watching was incredible — so many species right from the deck! We stopped at Costco on the way in to stock up on food and supplies, which made the stay even easier since the cabin had everything we needed and more. The host was beyond excellent — thoughtful, communicative, and truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. We can’t recommend this place enough — a truly amazing experience that we’ll never forget, and we will definitely be staying again!
